CP579 - Eagleson 1067 Watermain Repair and Modifications construction project
The project scope includes a watermain repair in the intersection of Eagleson/Katimavik and the installation of two watermain chambers along Southbound Eagleson between Katimavik and Hazeldean. See below figure for summary.
The project scope includes a watermain repair in the intersection of Eagleson/Katimavik and the installation of two watermain chambers along Southbound Eagleson between Katimavik and Hazeldean. See below figure for summary.
The work is anticipated to proceed between late September and mid-November, 2022 and is limited to week nights (7pm to 6 am) and weekends (Friday 7pm to Monday 6am).
The construction in the intersection of Eagleson and Katimavik is planned to take 2 weekends. There will be lane and turning restrictions, but OC Transpo should be able to maintain normal service. In our planning however, we’ve considered the risk if the excavation limits need to be expanded. In this event, our contingency plan includes the detour of Route 61 Eastbound. The potential detour would only be required for one weekend, and would be confirmed 2-3 weeks in advance of being implemented. To maintain service at the majority of the stops, the detour would be as follows:
From Katimavik EB, left on Hearst, left on Whitney, right on Katimavik, right on Castlefrank, continue Kanata Ave, right onto 417 east on-ramp, continue 417, exit Eagleson, straight to Eagleson Park and Ride to regular route.
