I had a great time walking Monahan Landing with The West Team for the first ever BCA Food drive. It was great to get out in the community and see how many donations there were. In total the food drive collected 26,000 lbs and $2000 for the Kanata Food Cupboard!

Today was an exciting day for Kanata South- The Grand Opening of the Tony Graham Recreation Complex (formerly known as the KRC) was a huge success! Over the next 10 years the Tony Graham Automotive Group will invest $1 million dollars - $100,000/yr for the naming rights to the Kanata Recreation Complex.
Thank you to the Tony Graham Automotive Group & the Graham Family for investing in community recreation and providing opportunities for our youth to be active, form new friendships, develop new skills and most importantly, to connect with their community through grassroots programming.
It was an honour to be joined by the Tony Graham Automotive family, Mayor Mark Sutcliffe, council colleagues Laura Dudas, Glen Gower & Clarke Kelly and also by the many sports groups that call the #TGRC home! Thank you to lifelong volunteer and KS resident, Tom Flood and KHCA president, Matt Brearey for attending as well!

It was great to be able to join Bridlewood resident Wyatt as he celebrated his 2nd birthday with his absolute favourite thing- real life garbage trucks!!
Last week Miller Waste Systems started their new contract as waste provider for Kanata South and were more than happy to help by bringing a few trucks over so that Wyatt could see them up close!
Thank you very much to Miller for showing their community spirit in such a meaningful way!
